This recipe is great on toast with banana slices, or on french toast for a Christmas morning breakfast.
BONUS: It makes your house smell AH-MAY-ZING!
10-ish pounds of Apples (Red Delicious or Honeycrisp are best)
1 cup brown sugar
2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp ground cloves
1/4 tsp salt
2 cups granulated sugar
Peel and core the apples, slice into quarters and put into a food processor to chop into small pieces. Put them in the crockpot and add all other ingredients, stir together. Cover and cook on low overnight. Stir well in the morning... and try not to eat it by the spoonful!
