Community Spotlight: Food Truck Fridays

If you love food truck fare as much as we do, then you must make it over to Lincoln Park this Friday night for the first Grand Junction Food Truck Friday of the summer. Whether you are looking for a fun, laid back date night location or an event that will please even the pickiest eater in your family, Food Truck Fridays are a summer tradition in Grand Junction you won’t want to miss. Pack up your blanket, peruse the vast selection of delectable food, and pick a spot on the lawn. Children will enjoy extra activities specifically catered to them, such as a face painting station, balloon animals, and even a bouncy house. Adults, remember to bring your ID if you want to visit the beer garten for a tasty regional brew. Enjoy your meal with live musical performances from up and coming local bands.

When you participate in Food Truck Fridays, not only are you engaging in your local community, but you’re supporting your local food vendors. Your options abound and include options such as Surfin’ Salmon tacos, Michael Angelo’s Wood Fired Pizzas, Las Torres Mexican Food, Be Crêpeful crêpes, and Big Mike’s Pork n’ Wings. Return after dinner to enjoy some Italian ice from Gelü or baked goods from the Be Sweet bakery. You certainly won’t be disappointed! The selection of food, drinks, and desserts might leave you feeling overwhelmed, but have no fear! Food Truck Fridays occur on staggered weeks in Grand Junction, Fruita, and Palisade until mid-September. Beginning in June, Food Truck Fridays are paired with Movies in the Park, so stay the whole evening to complete your dinner and a movie!
