Located in the same area as the local train depot, this restaurant has been a staple in the Grand Valley for quite a few years. Friendly staff is accompanied by large portions and their famous homemade cinnamon rolls. Their menu is mostly American, but also has delicious green chili and breakfast burritos. This is certainly a stop to be made either while in town or if you've never been. They only serve breakfast and lunch, so go early!
2. Cafe Sol is one of the only places in Grand Junction that includes organic, gluten-free, and vegetarian options on their menu. This small cafe has homemade soups, salads, sandwiches, and baked goods, some of which change daily so keep your eye out for new flavors. They have fruit smoothies, quinoa oatmeal, a quiche of the day, and lunch Paninis. Although their breakfast menu is on the small side, there is still something to be had for everyone.
3. A new breakfast and lunch option that recently opened is Old Man Grill. Some refer to Old Man Grill as OMG and also describe their food in the same way! With large servings and a myriad of choices, OMG has definitely made itself at home in the Grand Valley. This brunch place has an American menu with a Mexican flare and offers biscuits and gravy, a carne asada breakfast burrito, and amazing burgers for lunch! Although it is a small location, it is certainly worth the trip.
