December 4th - David Archuleta's Christmas Tour
IF you don't have plans tonight, go to the Avalon Theatre and enjoy David Archuleta's renditions of some popular Christmas tunes as well as three original songs co-written by David (David was the 2008 runner-up on “American Idol”). You can get tickets for as low as $20 and it will be a spectacular show not to miss!
December 7th - Downtown Grand Junction Spirit of Christmas Walk
This Friday from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm will be the fun, annual "Spirit of Christmas" Walk. You can stop at CRYSTAL Books and Gifts to meet author Jan Weeks as well as listen to Christmas stories, go shopping at the Downtown businesses, listen to live entertainment, enjoy a free carriage ride, and see Santa and Mrs. Claus!
December 10th - Moscow Ballet’s Great Russian Nutcracker
What better way to get in the holiday spirit than to bring your family to the Nutcracker!? You will be able to enjoy stunning hand-painted sets and world-class Russian artists presenting a spectacular show. The New York Times remarked that it will leave “Kids wide-eyed with delight!”
December 15th - Santa Cause Fun Run
Don't let those Christmas cookies weigh you down! Kiwanis will be hosting a Santa 5k/1k Fun Run starting at Las Colonias Park Amphitheater. The proceeds will go towards new playgrounds and equipment for our town!
December 21st - Movies on the Rocks: National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation
The perfect all-inclusive holiday date night! Wear your favorite Christmas sweater (there will be prizes), enjoy one drink, themed hors d'oeuvres, popcorn and this funny classic! You can get your tickets here.
December 22nd - Bar D Wranglers Christmas Jubilee
Celebrate our Western roots with a great show at the Avalon Theater. This event starts at 7:00 pm and will be a great event for the whole family!
December 30th - A Magical Cirque Christmas
Another amazing performance at the Avalon Theatre will be held at the end of the month. This show was created by the same producers of Broadway’s smash hit “The Illusionists”. You will experience thrilling aerialists, breathtaking cirque artists, and a magical Christmas feel!
