Natural Swimming Spots Around Grand Junction

You can easily spend a whole day here playing in the two lakes, hiking on the trails, bird-watching amongst the trees, and playing in the tall grass. There is a park fee of 7.00 per day and if you want to camp it is $20.00 a night.
If you want to take a float down a river, this is your best bet! You can rent rafts at many locations (Rimrock Adventures is featured to the right) or you can bring your tube (and life jacket). Bring some snacks, sunscreen, and grab a cooler to fill with your favorite beverages!
There are multiple swimming holes along this 6-8 mile hike. The temperature is usually pretty warm of the water and you are surrounded by beautiful waterfalls and rock formations!
This is a bit of a drive from Grand Junction (it is East of Montrose) but it is the largest body of water in Colorado and is beautiful! This reservoir is the largest producer of Kokanee salmon and lake trout in Colorado and it is not rare to find people scuba diving in the beautiful blue water!

Ok this isn't "natural", but it is a favorite among locals! It is inexpensive ($3.75 for youth and $5,00 for Adult), has a great playground, and tons of shade where you can have your picnic! On Tuesdays you can "Slide for a Buck" and the Splash Pad is open daily for free! Bring your kids and go cool off!
