5 Awesome Ways to Volunteer This Month in Colorado

1. August 18-19: 2018 Special Olympic's State Summer Classic

This is a bit of a drive (held in Colorado Springs), but will be incredibly rewarding and fun! Bring your kids and volunteer as a family, or if you are older than 16 you can volunteer alone. If you are interested in volunteering, contact Georgia David at georgia@specialolympicsco.org.

2. August 17-18: 2018 Peach Fest

A 3-hour volunteer shift will get you a free festival pass for the day you worked! If you volunteer both Friday and Saturday you will receive a weekend pass. This is a great way to get involved in the community and help with admissions, volunteer gate, set-up and tear-down etc. Learn more about volunteering HERE or call 970-464-7458 for any questions.

3. August 19: Basalt Half Marathon

Head 2 hours east to Basalt Colorado to participate in the half marathon; funds go towards the Basalt High School cross-country team to raise money for their upcoming racing season. If you aren't a runner, you can volunteer, become a sponsor, or participate in another capacity by contacting Ron at (970) 618-2063. Learn more about the race, here.

4. September 22: 2018 Grand Junction Golf Tournament

This event isn't until September, but if you are interested in playing or volunteering, sign up now! The funds they raise will go towards HopeWest Kids. Learn more here.

5. August 18: Denim & Diamonds Gale

This is another HopeWest event, but you dress a bit nicer to this one! If you would like to volunteer at this annual gala supporting HopeWest Kids, please call (970) 241-2212. They need volunteers for creation of props and decorations, as well as event set-up and tear-down.
