Grand Junction Community Events - August 27-31

With Colorado Mesa University beginning their classes, there is an increase in our town's population which means fall has officially started - and there are even more fun events around town! Check out these fun activities happening in our community, and hold on to the last days of summer while you can!

August 27

The Horns and Frills Dinosaurs exhibit won't be around much longer, so if you haven't been to the Dinosaur Journey Museum in Fruita yet, you must go soon! Grab your kids for an educational and fun time at the museum.

August 28

August 26th was National Dog Day, so honor your furry friend by painting a portrait of them while sipping a glass of wine from Mesa Park Vineyards. Admission is $35 and the event will be from 6:00 - 9:00 PM (send questions to CreativeCanvasParty@Gmail.com)

What's better than wine on Wednesday? Listen to cool jazz while sipping wine at a vineyard with friends! Tickets are just $15 and Brian Savage will be playing at 7:00 PM (doors open at 6:00). Don't miss this lovely event!

August 30

There are only a few more Thursdays left of the Downtown Farmer's Market in Grand Junction. From 5:30-8:30 PM you can get local art, fresh produce, and listen to a band for free Downtown.

From 5:30 - 9:30 PM, you can enjoy Freeway Donna on top of Sunset Terrace (a rooftop bar). There will be drink specials and amazing views for this free event!

Did you catch our article last week about all the amazing Food Trucks around Grand Junction? Well here is your chance to try many of them! Head out to Lincoln Park for food, music, and fun for the whole family (there will be a beer garden for those of age).

Ulices Chaidez y Sus Plebes will be performing at Two Rivers Convention Center starting at 9:00 PM. Ulices is a teenage singer, multi-instrumental and a songwriter, and he and his trio will perform new generation Mexican Regional music!
