September Events Not-To-Miss in Grand Junction

September 6

You don't have many of these left (just two to be exact), so make sure you go this week or next to get local produce, art grown or made in Colorado, and to enjoy local bands. Free parking is available in the parking garage, so you have no excuses!

September 7—8

Pork and Hops- two of our favorite words! This is the 12th year of the event and it will be held in Las Colonias Park. '6 Million Dollar Band' will be performing Friday night at 7:30 PM, and the Saturday lineup consists of Led Stetson Band (5:00 PM), William Brothers Band, and Blackhawk. If music isn't your thing, there will be an amzing BBQ and a People’s Choice Awards!

September 13

The race will be held on Colorado Ave. (at the LAST Farmer's Market) and will feature men racing in heals at 5:30 PM. This event benefits Hilltop's Latimer House which provides a 24-hour crisis line, emergency shelter, advocacy, individual and group counseling, and children’s services to our community.

September 13—16

This quite possibly may be our favorite event of the year. Although general admission tickets are sold out, you can still enjoy some of their other events and tour tickets (learn more here). This is the state's largest and oldest wine festival and brings together dozens of local wineries selling their wines along with live entertainment, unlimited wine samples, a wine tote, and a commemorative tasting glass.

September 16

A full day of live music and pups? Sign me up! This event will be put on by Wag Resort and offers a great lineup of local bands, a kid zone, pet-related vendors and activities throughout the day, food trucks, giveaways, and, beer! The event is just $20 for the full day.

September 22

Colorado National Monument Free Admission Day

Here is your chance to bring your family to this beautiful site FREE OF CHARGE! This annual event celebrates National Public Lands Day.

September 21—23

Come celebrate small-town America with 50,000 others! This FREE event will feature125 vendors selling their arts, crafts, and foods. There will be a parade, Outhouse Race, Baking & Canning Contest, Carnival and more!
