July Featured Nonprofit - Habitat For Humanity Mesa County

The mission of Habitat for Humanity is to construct simple, affordable, and decent housing in partnership with families, volunteers, and the community for God’s people in need.

Habitat for Humanity Mesa County has 1,118 volunteers who have served more than 32,055 hours! As a result, 161 families have been served.

There are so many ways to get involved with Habitat including helping at ReStore, the construction site, or serving on a committee.

ReStore is full of one-of-a-kind items. From home furnishings to seasonal items, there is something for everyone. Helping out here is a great way to provide for families who don't have a lot.

If you would prefer to volunteer just once, you can help at one of their many events throughout the year. Habitat for Humanity of Mesa County is involved in the Mission Fair with First Presbyterian Church in January, an annual Food Drive each February, the Home and Garden Show in March, Grand Valley Sharefest in the Spring, the Sheepherders Project in December, and a private golf tournament in the fall with Grand Junction Pipe. Volunteering or attending these events is a great way to help our Habitat for Humanity.

If you would like to get involved, you can check out their volunteer opportunities here. If you dream of owning a home, you can learn if you qualify here.
