Ten Best Activities for Kids in Grand Junction

1. Take them to America's favorite pastime

Colorado Rockies begin their 2019 season with their home opener on June 18th vs. Colorado Springs at Suplizio Field! Bring your family and enjoy the fun!

2. Bring them to the museum

Some of our favorite museums to bring the kids to are Museum of the West, Eureka! McConnell Science Museum, and Children's Nature Center!

Join us for this FREE and family-friendly event at the Amp! Wednesdays in June, we’ll be showing a movie on stage. Bring your friends, a blanket or chair and come ready to have a great time! 4. Head to a park

Between the Bananas Fun Park, Canyon View Park, Rocket Park, and Lunch Loop Bike Park, there are plenty of fun parks to take your kids to!

5. Cool off at a natural swimming spot

Show your kids the beauty of the outdoors while they cool off by bringing them to Blue Mesa Reservoir, Dominguez Canyon, Highline Lake, or the Colorado River!

Lincoln Park-Moyer Pool is inexpensive ($3.75 for youth and $5,00 for Adult), has a great playground, and tons of shade where you can have your picnic! On Tuesdays you can "Slide for a Buck" and the Splash Pad is open daily for free! Bring your kids and go cool off!

7. Get some ice cream

8. Take a hike

9. Send them to camp

10. Volunteer

Teaching kids while they are young to give back will make them a more giving adults! There are plenty of easy ways to volunteer with kids in Grand Junction and we love featuring nonprofits once a month. Some of our favorites are COPMOBA, Roice Hurst Humane Society, and Western Slope Center for Children.
